Prior to your root canal treatment, our doctor will use a local anesthesia to numb the treated area. A small protective rubber sheet called as dental dam is placed over the tooth, to keep the treated area dry and free from saliva. After that a small thin instrument is used to open the tooth crown and clean the infected pulp from the pulp chamber and root canal. After the deep cleaning of the tooth, the space will be cleaned and shaped to fill it with biocompatible material called as gutta percha. In next visit, to strengthened and protect the treated tooth, filling and crown can be applied to it.

After the root canal procedure, our doctor will prescribe pain medication and provide with you a proper follow up plan. Avoid chewing or biting at treated site until the tooth is restored. Follow your daily oral hygiene, like brushing teeth, flossing, cleaning and regular checkup.
